Choices   What do you suppose God’s intentions and purposes were when He Chose to place man in His creation and then gave him dominion over it? What was the desire of God’s heart from the beginning? God’s WORD states it clearly, We were created to be a “...temple of the LIVING GOD.” As God has said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God and they will be My people. I Will be a Father to you and you shall be My Sons and Daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” 2Cor.6:16,18             You see, we were created in His likeness and image. 1) We are a spirit, we have a soul, (consisting of our minds, wills, and emotions) and we live in a body. God too, is a Spirit, He has a soul and His desire is to live in a body (Ours) Notice, in the above passage, God said, I Will 3 times? He was making Choices wasn’t He? God’s desire is to have a family He can be both Father and God to. That’s His CHOICE. Our Choice then is this: Do we truly desire with all our hearts to be a participating member of His Family. Talk about Choices, this one’s extremely important. God is making us an offer too good to pass up, requiring us to make a quality decision. And so here goes the process. We’ll think or meditate on it. Seeing ourselves with it, we’ll seriously desire it and will it, or Choose it. After receiving it, we’ll testify of it. It’s absolutely the smartest decision we’ll ever make.             Once we’ve made that Choice to believe God and receive Him as Our God and Father, It won’t be long before we discover, It’s Choosing Jesus as our Savior and Lord, that made this all possible in the first place! 2) Then we find, “A wise (Smart) son makes a Fathers heart glad.” 3) How do we please our God and Father? By Believing Him. Because without Faith, it’s impossible to please God. 4) Prv.3:5 says, “Trust in The Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” It’s Choosing to believe what God says, and that only. As we trust Him and His Word (His Will & Testament) we’ll learn what our God’s desires are. First off, Our Heavenly Father wants His children to be established in the fact that He Loves us. 5) We’re not to concern ourselves with the trivial things in life, such as clothes, food, and shelter. He certainly knows we have need of these things. But we’re to SEEK FIRST (The #1 Priority) Him, and the things of His Kingdom and (then) all these things (our needs) shall be added to us. 6) What shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us. It’s The Father through the Son giving us all things to enjoy. 7,8,9)  God thinks so strong about the desires of His Heart, that He put some of the real important ones in the form of Commandments. The first and greatest of these, the one of utmost importance to our Father is that “We Love Him with all our hearts...” 10) Our CHOICE then is this; Are we going to be wise and please our Father by giving Him the desires of His Heart? Tell you what!, if we give God His desires, He’ll give us ours. (When were mature enough) It’s our Choice. Where do we start? I call it the 3 D’s. You Desire - You Discipline - You Delight. To put it real bluntly, He is a rewarder of those who are diligent about seeking Him. (11 We are to be imitators of God, as dear children. 12) And as an example we have a big Brother to lookup to, Jesus. We want to be just like Him!   Yeah!, we’ll want to know Him, really know Him. 13) And as we get to know our God, we’ll begin to fall more and more in love with Him. Our Awesome and magnificent God is telling us, “To Know Me is to Love Me.”  You see, if you love someone with all your heart, you’ll talk about them often, you’ll think about them a lot, and you’ll want to be around them & to please them. You’ll believe and trust their word. And you’ll give them praise, to them personally and to others as well.   IT’S NOT MUCH DIFFERENT WHEN YOU LOVE GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART   WHAT AM I SAYING?   Do you know how to read a spiritual thermometer? If someone is hot or cold in the things of God. Do you know how to “...be watchful with all perseverance ...for all the saints, praying (accurately) ...in the Spirit. 14) So we can all grow in the wisdom and knowledge of our God?” 15) All you need to do is listen to what is being said! Jesus said it this way; “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.” 16) I’ve heard it this way, “What we’re speaking (confessing) with our mouths is always on a direct level of what we’re believing in our hearts.” Our tongue is our spiritual thermometer. Our Lord said, “It’s not what goes into the mouth that defiles a man ...but those things which proceed out of the mouth, comes from the heart and they defile a man.” 17) Solomon said it plainly too: “Death & Life are in the Power of the tongue.” 18) In other words, it’s by our (right) words we are justified, and by our (wrong) words we are condemned. 19) What’s in our heart in abundance? Are we being transformed by the renewing of our minds? 20)   ???HOW’S OUR THINKING???   IF OUR CONFESSING IS WRONG IT’S BECAUSE OUR BELIEVING IS WRONG IF OUR BELIEVING IS WRONG IT’S BECAUSE OUR THINKING IS WRONG IF OUR THINKING IS WRONG IT’S BECAUSE OUR MINDS HAVEN’T BEEN RENEWED TO THE TRUTH OF GOD’S WORD     Are we fully convinced that what God has promised, He is able to perform? 21) We should be casting down vain imaginations and everything that exalts itself against the truth, God’s Word. 22) We’re supposed to be building our house (our lives) on the rock! These are all Choices we make. We’re also to let no unwholesome word proceed out of our mouths, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 23) Prov.16:23 says “The heart of the wise teaches his mouth.”    Therefore, “He who guards his mouth preserves his life.” James said, “Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing... these things ought not to be so.” 24) “If anyone among you thinks he’s religious and does not bridle his tongue, his religion is useless.” 25) We should be putting away lying (speaking falsely) and speak the truth (God’s Word) with our neighbors. 26) So we Choose to put away from us a deceitful mouth. (Contrary to The Word) 27) And be sure to keep our hearts with all diligence, for out of it flow the issues of life. 28) Our prayer should be like that of King Davids, “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in your sight, O Lord...” 29) As for me I Choose to speak the truth in love so that I can grow up in all things unto Him, who is the head Christ ...which causes growth of the (His) body for the edifying of itself in love. 30) How about you?
